All of the boulders in the first level in halo 3 you can see all of the jaggered lines lol. If they have already remastered halo 1 and 2, then they might as well do the whole trilogy and remake 3 aswell.

It’s a little disappointing that Halo Online never made it out of the testing phase, but the upcoming Halo Infinite will have a free-to-play multiplayer component alongside the main campaign. A team of modders has been working on a fan remake of the first Halo PC game, called Halo Combat Evolved Refined.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. In addition, Steam linking has become available, allowing players to see their Steam friends in-game, offering a simple but welcome addition to be sure. Halo 3 will even feature new Campaign collectibles to be found, though what exactly they might be remains to be clarified.

The update also reveals the inclusion of a custom game browser for both Halo 3 and Halo CE, as well as a return for the classic HUD in Halo CE with 4K and toggle support. While the original design for the map was set in the streets of New Mombasa, this version of Icebox is set in the good ol’ city of mother Russia, Tyumen. One particular point of interest is a new map called Icebox, a remake of the classic Halo 2 map Turf, that once served as one of the maps for the cancelled Halo Online. Now, even more are set to arrive in Halo: The Master Chief Collection as an addition to the remastered Halo 3.Ī recent update from 343 Industries revealed plans to bring a whole new slew of things to the game’s upcoming Season 8. While the game was cancelled long ago, its maps have been added to a variety of titles across the Halo franchise. That being said, the original game, while still a blast to play through all these years later, could definitely use a more modern engine if it were remade again today.Halo Online once aimed to be a new and free way to experience the Halo franchise using a modified version of Halo 3’s engine, though unfortunately, its time in the sun was never to come. I'd argue the original game is visually superior to the visual upgrades given in the Anniversary edition, due to this. I don't feel like the Anniversary edition from 10 years ago has aged well whatsoever, as it feels like a rushed job using a lot of Halo Reach's assets, quickly reskinning a first generation Xbox game while using all the same physics and rigging from the original. Halo CE deserves another chance to shine. I'd be cool with that, and it wouldn't splinter the userbase from Infinite. Maybe some CE inspired armors, vehicle or weapon skins, etc. Just add all the classic Halo CE maps remade. The multiplayer could just be the Halo Infinite MP. maybe even squeeze a bit of Thel Vadamee's story into this? I'd totally be down with more insight from the Covenant side during the events of Halo CE. Develop characters like Sargeant Johnson or Foehammer more. Work around how the original had so much backtracking. Follow the same general plot points, but change things up and add some new story elements, weapons, vehicles, enemy varients. I want the entire game redone from the ground up in the new Halo Infinite engine.
